We recommend you educational tours to the surroundings from the horseback:
- 1st route: Western Guest House - Liptovský salaš ( Liptov sheep farm) Krajinka and back.
Length 5-7 km, time 2-3 hours
This attractive route passes through the well-known village Černová near Ružomberok, then it continues to Great Fatra by a forest way, where you get fascinated by marvellous views of Low and High Tatras and Choč Mountains. Then you enter a romantic forest and after a short ride you have a nice view of grazing lands and sheep herds. Salaš Krajinka is visible from afar. We recommend you to have a short break and you can buy and try pure Liptov sheep cheese, sheep´s whey, cheese, "oštiepky" and "korbáčiky" (kinds of cheese).- 2nd route: Western Guest House - Černová - Čutkovská valley - Dedov-hill
Length 5-7 km, time 2-3 hours
This interesting route passes through the village of Černová, past the house of Andrej Hlinka (exposition) and the church of Saint Mary of the Rosary ( national monument in secession style) and the Memorial of Černová martyrs (possible to visit). The horseride continues under the hillsides of Great Fatra towards the one of the most beautiful valleys of Great Fatra - Čutkovská valley. It is possible to stop in Fatranka (small cottage) to have some refreshment and then, through a meadow, the route leads past a water basin where you can take a bath. You turn to a small valley with an attractive forest way. Afterwards, you climb on horseback up the meadowy hill Dedov and you will be breathtaken by the view of the magic scenery of Low and Great Fatra, High and Low Tatras and Choč Mountains. Down the forest way from the Dedov hill you get above the village of Černová and finally, down through meadows, back- 3rd route: Western Guest House - Černová - Čutkovská valley - Skipark Hrabovo
Length: 5-7 km, time 3-4 hours

The horseride continues under the hillsides of Great Fatra with a short break in the cottage Fatranka and then through the forest up the way to Hrabovská valley. You can have a short rest near Chata pod Brdom with some refreshment. The end of the route is near Hrabovo dam, and back.- 4th route: Western Guest House - Černová - Čutkovská valley - Vtáčnik - Malino Brdo - Vlkolínec
Length: 12-15 km, time 5-6 hours
This demanding and interesting route passes through the village of Černová, past the house of Andrej Hlinka (exposition) and the church of Saint Mary of the Rosary and the Memorial of Černová martyrs (possible to visit). The track continues under the hillsides of Great Fatra towards the one of the most beautiful valleys of Great Fatra - Čutkovská valley. It is possible to stop in Fatranka (small cottage) to have some refreshment and then, across a meadow, the route leads past a water basin where you can take a bath. It continues through the Čutkovská valley, across the ridge of Vtáčnik and after a short time you will be breathtaken by the view of the picturesque and fascinating scenery of Low and Great Fatra, High and Low Tatras, Choč Mountains and the town of Ružomberok from the hill of Malino Brdo ( altitude 1208 m). The tour continues across the meadows. You can get some refreshment in a chalet or hotel. From the area of Malino Brdo you can stop in a Liptov sheep farm where you can buy and try the local pure sheep cheese, sheep´s whey, cheese, "oštiepky" and "korbáčiky" (kinds of cheese). About 15 minutes later you find yourself in a fairy tale village of Vlkolínec which is registered on the UNESCO list. You can visit an exposition in the agricultural house and have some refreshment.
This adventurous route leads down the hill from Malino Brdo to Hrabovská valley and back to the ranch.- 5th route: Wetsern Guest House - Hrboltová village - Čebrať- Likavka village and Likava castle
Length: 5-6 km, time 3-4 hours
This fascinating route leads through the village of Hrboltová, then you walk up the meadows ( in summer - mushroomers paradise) under the hillside of Čebrať. After a short ride you find yourself under the well known Likava castle from the 14th century. The castle exposition is open to public from June to September. The way back from the castle leads under the hillside of Čebrať.
